The last month I had a good birding tour in Holland with 9 people more of Girona and Figueres. We leave to Girona Airport and go to Eindhoven. We arrived there about 9:00. The first objective was the Lesser White-fronted Goose. This bird is very difficlut to see in Europe. We search near the Oudeland van Strijen situated in the Rhin and Maas Delta. In the second day we seen a group of 14 birds. The second objective was a Bufflehead, a duck who life in North-America but this year one male has been wintering in Barendrecht-Gaatkenplas. We find the duck, was a very beautiful bird!!! The next objective was the Greater Yellowlegs, we moved to Collijnsplaat. The next was Common Waxwing, but we don't find in all the time.
We then headed to Den Helder Harbour, this city is in front to Texel and next to the big dike. In Den Helder we seen Eider and some Common Eider or Purple Sandpiper. We started the dike crossing. We stopped here and there, and we could see interesting birds such as Smew, Red-breasted Merganser or Greater Scaup. In north-Holand we decided to search Red-breasted Goose. This was the most difficlut bird because in area with we stayed, Friesland, there were thousands of Bernacle Gosse and one Red-breasted Goose. We stay three hours searching the Gosse and when the sun was disapeearing Aleix finded the Gosse. This was the most incredible moment in the travel!! The Gosse was very beautiful!! We could relax and go to Sneek, where we slept.
The next and last day, the first and the more important objectif was the White-tailed Eagles. We seen a pair in Oostvaardersplassen National Park.
Then we needed to find some Bewick's Swan for the youngest of the group. We had a good spot on the GPS, so there we went! We found not only Bewick's Swans, but also Whooper Swans and Tundra Bean Goose.
After we went to the airport.
