The best Spanish places for birdwatching(Espero que aquesta redacció conti per les 3 o 4 que no havia fet ya que té 400 paraules!!)

Spain is an extensive and divers country.  Pyrenees, Cantabrian mountain-range, Sierra Nevada, extensive fields, wetlands, lakes, etc.  This diversity is very important than birds and is made become Spain on the top 10 bird watching places in the word. The best community is Andalucía. In this community exists very important places.  For example: Sierra Nevada, Doñana National Park and Gibraltar. Other important community is Catalonia. A 40% of territory is protect in Catalonia. The important places are Delta de L’Ebre, Pyrenees, Aiguamolls de L’Empordà, Aiguamolls del Llobregat and Secans de Lleida.

 Top 7 places in the Spain for Bird watching.

1-Tarifa:This place is situated front the Gibraltar narrow. In September when the birds  in the North Europe migration at Africa this point is a fantastic show because hundreds birds are concrete  during his travel. You can watch white stork, black stork, thousands of honey buzzards and sometimes some African bird: Rüppell's Griffon, Lanner Falcon and Red Buzzard.

2-Doñana National Park:  Doñana is the queen National Park in Iberia. It has 194.000 ha and is the one of the best wetlands in Europe.  In this place is the habitat of a lot of danger extinction birds(   Marbled Teal, White-headed, etc…). Doñana is the first winter area of the  Greylag goose in Europe. You can watch a lot of water and forest birds.

3-Delta de l’Ebre: This is the biggest delta in western Mediterranean. Is situated in Tarragona province and is made by River mouth of Ebro river. You can watch a lot of flamingos and gulls.

4-Cabañeros National Park: Is situate in Castilla la Manxa. This park has the  first colony of black vulture in Spain and you can watch some Imperial Iberian eagle, one eagle in danger extinction. Also it is Egyptian vulture, Great Eagle owl, Black stork, etc.

5-Monegros: Monegros is situate in Aragon. Is a desert area but there’s a lot of strange birds. You can watch the Great Bustard, Pin-Tailed Sandgrouse, Golden Eagle, The Black-shouldered kite, etc. They are the difficult and strange birds in Europe.

6-Gallocanta: Is the lake situate in Daroca area. Is the famous winter area of Crane and is very spectacular watching this birds in the morning when flying in the South.

7-Santoña Natural Park: This park is situate in Cantabria. During the migration you can watch the birds of North Europe. This wetlands it’s the best important natural Ria in the North Spain.

Day 7

The last day in Palencia arrived. The objectif in the travel was looked the aquatic warbler (Acrocephalus paludicola). This bird is incude in the red list of animals in the word and life in Poland but in September travel at Africa. We awaited of the bird falled in the row .
The last round, in the last row, i was listening '' I catch the aquatic warbler!!!!!''. This was incredible,the bird was very beautiful and i was staying very happy. All the people made photos, and catched the bird. I was the last person and before liveration i was saying bird '' good travel ''.

The second day i got up at 6:30. The alarm-clock with Arnau was very terrible. I was had a shower,down the stairs and ate the breakfast. Zuma arrived at 7:00 and we went to ''Canal de castilla''. This waterway was builded in s.XVIII and comunicate Castilla Leon( more production of cereals in Spain) and the ports in the north but the invention of the train finished the waterway . Now this waterway is a very important wetland because next to waterway are 45 wetlands.

 

When we arrived in the waterway Zuma gave boots and we enter in the wetlands and cathed the birds in the row. I cathed very diferents birds : Reed Warbler, Sedge warbler, Savi's warbler, Cetti's Warbler, Willow warbler, bluethroat, etc. I was to ring some birds.

Palencia 1

I was went to Palencia with my friends Arnau Sargatal and Gerard Carbonell (Figueres, Catalonia). We met in Sants station (Barcelona, Catalonia) and we catched the train at 9.30 and arrived in 16:45 in Palencia( Castella Lleo) 30 minutes delay . Fernando Jubete comed to recived and leave to Fuentes de Nava, the town who live one hundred persons. When we was arrived in the Fernando's house we were went in the Nava wetlands and we watched the Black Stork, Kingfischer,Great Egret and wilds ducks. When the mosquitos killer us, we went to Fernando's house and dinner. When I went in the bed I reflect in this future week and i slepp.
