Albufera National Parc

S'Albufera is a wetland area in the north of Mallorca between Alcúdia and Can Picafort. S'Albufera was given National Park status on 28th February 1988. It has 1700 hectares. You can see up to 200 species of birds, a huge variety of plants and wildflowers, insects and fish,  some unusual amphibians, reptiles and mammals. No motor vehicles are permitted to enter the park.

This place is my favourite site in the world. I go in S'Albufera since i was six years because a part of my familiy living in Mallorca. In S'Albufera i wached a very beautiful and strange birds. Examples are osprey (Pandion haliaetus), Purple Swamphe(Porphyrio porphyrio), Marbled teal(Marmaronetta angustirostris),Stone Curlew(Burhinus oedicnemus), a very class of ducks, etc.

Now, S'Albufera has a very problem because the Mallorca corrupte politicians can building a golf next to Albufera and destroyed a very important area of  Eleonora' s Falcon and one endemism plant.

My photos of Albufera.
